A personal project based on a conversation with my daughter.
We've been discussing the recent events in Egypt and I've been trying to answer the question of why the president of Egypt wasn't leaving. Tonight she read "Marvin K. Mooney" with Janel and the parallels were too great to pass up. Apologies to Dr. Seuss, and here's hoping that Mubarak gets the hint and leaves (whether by Crunk Car or Zike-Bike, or any other means) and the people of Egypt get their wish of a vibrant democracy with freedom for all.
Hosni S. Mubarak will you please go now!
The time has come.
The time has come.
The time is now.
Just go.
Go.
Go!
I don't care how.
You can go by foot.
You can go by cow.
Hosni S. Mubarak will you please go now...
*It should be noted that this isn't the first attempt to politicize Marvin K. Mooney.
"...The time had [long since] come,
so...
HOSNI LEFT!"
