Diana Butler Bass has a new book coming out next month (A People's History of Christianity) and she wanted to refresh the first version of her website that I did back in 2006, drawing extra attention to her new book as well as her burgeoning speaking and events schedule. I sectioned off the top of the front page to devote prime space to these items, scaling the header back on the internal pages so that the content of the internal page could be closer to the top. The books/events/blogs blocks are still featured internally in the right hand column.
I set the site up in a way that will allow her assistant to more easily manage the calendar and which will automate some of the processes for front page display which required manually updating previously.
